Growing in Motion: A Creative Self Portrait
For this assignment, I used Google Gemini to generate my digital artifact.
To create the prompt, I thought about who I am as a creative and what I genuinely love to do. My skill set spans motion graphics, 2D animation, illustration, storyboarding, graphic design, branding, editorial design, and typography. Rather than listing those skills plainly, I wanted the image itself to carry them visually.
I also made a personal creative decision to avoid a literal human figure and instead represent myself as an abstract, spiraling organic form, something that grows like a tree. This was deliberate. It reflects the idea that my potential as an artist and designer is still growing and expanding, not fixed or finished.
The Monet inspired setting, the lily pond, the soft light, the purple florals and weeping willows, comes from a deeply personal place. Claude Monet is my favorite artist and the most influential figure in my creative life. His approach to light, atmosphere, and color shaped the way I see design and beauty. Placing my skills inside his world felt like the most honest way to say who I am.
The final image is a fusion of the technical and the painterly, where storyboard frames, animation sequences, and design grids spiral upward through an Impressionist landscape. That tension between structure and feeling is exactly how I work.
